One question I get a lot from people when it comes to how to simplify & declutter, is: What should I give away and what should I keep?”

When you watch my video for you today, you’ll hear my story of what happened when I went to the thrift shop where I had been donating car loads of clothing, household items and memorabilia after I cleared out my mom’s house of 87 years of her life.

(You may remember in a previous video on decluttering where I shared how the thrift shop actually told me to stop donating because they could no longer take all of this stuff!)

But sometimes our hesitation over giving something away stops in us our tracks all together.

Far too many people live in chaos and clutter — and then lose out on experiencing the many simple pleasures of life in a relaxed, upbeat, joyful manner.

That’s because when you’re living in chaos, clutter and confusion, your energy toward clear and clean living is zapped away and swallowed up by trying to find out where you left your car keys, which bills still need to be paid, where that important piece of paper is that you need, and so on and so forth.
